OTHER INFORMATION
* The exterior of Croft Manor is said to have been modelled after Kedleston Hall in Derbyshire, however it bears a greater resemblance to Compton Wynyates found in Warwickshire.
* Notorious for its appearance in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, the Ark of the Covenant itself is found at Lara's front doors. Lara's updated 1997 biography would reveal that she discovered the Ark in 1993.

Her local guide Carlos mauled to death by a pack of wolves, Lara presses onwards into the mountain caves that will lead her to the tomb of Qualopec.

* The real city of Vilcabamba was the capital of the Neo-Inca State, founded in 1539. It was to be the last refuge of the Inca Empire as it fell to the Spaniards in 1572. The city was destroyed and was forgotten until its ruins were discovered in 1911.

LEVEL 4 - TOMB OF QUALOPEC

OVERVIEW

Inside the gloriously decorated tomb of Qualopec, Lara must deal with several puzzles and deadly traps before she can reach the artefact.

* In the Japanese version of the game, there is an additional alcove in the secret chamber prior to Qualopec's resting place. It contains a large sprite object of the gold idol found in City of Vilcabamba.
* If Lara does not shoot the Atlantean mummy and lets it fall to the floor, the kill will not be counted in the final statistics.
* Reloading the game on PC after collecting the Scion will make the artefact re-appear on its pedestal. Repeating this process will allow Lara to collect it any amount of times.
