Lara Croft: Lost Dimensions (Cancelled Fan Project)

Lara Croft: Lost Dimensions was a fan project unveiled in 2008 and leaded by Marco Catena. It was made using CryEngine and was a FPS made in the Tomb Raider universe.
Later the team decided to remove the Lara Croft part of the title and her character for legal issues (they tried to contact Eidos but never got a reply) and the game was renamed Lost Dimensions.

In terms of the content, story and gameplay, they were using the models and levels that they had created so far, the story was large and immersive, and the gameplay was split between action adventure and shooting.

They did not plan to make a copycat franchise of ‘Tomb Raider,’ but rather create their own unique characters and settings in relation to the story they had created. They were in the process of creating a new and sexy female character to replace Lara Croft.

The game was going to feature 12 different levels to span the twists of the story; the player would have been immersed in wonderful environments, from dusty desert caves to thunderstorm flooded rainforests.
