Tomb Raider Chronicles is the title of the next Tomb Raider game, due to be released in November for the PC, Dreamcast, and PlayStation.
While most details are still secret, we have an early report for you about Lara's new game, so read on.
Will we finally know what happened to Lara inside the Temple of Horus? Maybe not yet...
The first news about the game's plot, state that it will begin at Lara's funeral, since she's missing believed dead in the Temple.
Guests at the ceremony include Jean-Paul and Pierre, and they each reminisce about her previous, hitherto unplayed, adventures.
These include episodes in Rome, Ireland, a dock complex in Russia and an industrial site.
There will be new costumes, new weapons, new enemies and the various adventures will involve the 16 year old Lara, as well as the familiar 'grown-up' version. New moves include the ability to walk along tightropes.
Another game, known as 'Tomb Raider VI' or 'Tomb Raider Next Generation' but which will probably not feature the words 'Tomb Raider' in the final title, with an yet undetermined release date (probably late 2001, according to some sources), is also confirmed for the PlayStation 2 only at this time.
We'll have an huge exclusive report on Tomb Raider Chronicles on August 18th, but until then don't miss the UK PlayStation magazine, on sale August 6th, that will feature the first public preview on the game.
Meanwhile, if everything goes according to plan, we'll be visiting Core Design headquarters in late August and will bring you much more exclusive news then. Just wait!
While you wait, you can already pre-order Tomb Raider Chronicles.
